Try an example

Dinner is hiding in your fridge. Type in what you actually have — leftovers, half an onion, that bit of cheese — and the Fridge Recipe Generator turns it into real recipes you can cook tonight.

How it works

  1. List what you have, one item per line. Quantities are welcome but not required.
  2. Pick a cuisine and how many recipes you want (3–5).
  3. Every recipe uses only your list plus honest pantry basics — salt, oil, butter, flour, rice, pasta, eggs and a few more. Nothing sends you shopping.

What you get

  • Realistic amounts and numbered steps for each recipe
  • An honest difficulty and total time
  • A food-safety line when it matters (raw chicken, reheating rice)
  • A thin list gets an honest answer — fewer recipes, or none at all, with a note saying why, instead of invented dishes

What it won't do

It won't require an air fryer you don't own, send you to the store for one missing item, or pretend three condiments make a meal. Home cooking, basic equipment, tonight.

Questions

What counts as a "pantry basic"?

Salt, pepper, cooking oil, butter, flour, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, dried pasta, rice and eggs — plus water. Anything beyond that must be on your list, or the recipe won't use it.

Why didn't I get the full number of recipes?

Because your list was too thin to honestly support them. The tool would rather give you two recipes that work than five that send you shopping, so a thin list gets fewer recipes than you asked for, with a short note at the end saying why.

Does it account for what I don't own?

Yes — recipes assume a stove-top, oven, fridge and microwave only. No air fryer, deep fryer, pressure cooker or stand mixer will appear.

What happens to my ingredient list?

The list is used to produce your recipes and is then deleted with the task record after the retention period. It is never used to train models.
